Calvary Society
The Ghanaian Methodist Church UK, Calvary Society Birmingham, is a vibrant and welcoming Christian community rooted in the Wesleyan Methodist tradition. We are a congregation of believers who have been brought together by God's grace, united in our love for Christ and our commitment to worship, fellowship, and service.
Our church was established to provide a spiritual home for Ghanaian Methodists in Birmingham and the surrounding areas, offering a place where faith is nurtured, friendships are formed, and the Word of God is proclaimed with clarity and conviction. We hold firmly to the foundational Methodist values of scriptural holiness, disciplined prayer, and compassionate outreach, values that have shaped our community from the very beginning.
Every Sunday, we gather to worship the Lord through song, prayer, and the teaching of His Word. Our services are conducted with reverence and joy, blending the rich heritage of Ghanaian Methodist worship with a warm and inclusive atmosphere that welcomes all who walk through our doors. We hold Children and Youth services every Sunday at the church auditorium from 9:00am - 9:45am
Beyond Sunday worship, our congregation is active throughout the week. We meet daily on Zoom for devotional prayers, host a Faith Clinic and Bible Teaching every Wednesday, and gather every Friday night for Prayers and Healing. Our Calvary Voices choir leads us in praise, our Welfare team cares for members in need, and our Youth and Children's ministry ensures that the next generation is grounded in faith from an early age.
We are more than a church. We are a family, and our doors are always open.
